Cà Phê Sữa Đá – Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk
Vietnam's most famous coffee: strong robusta and sweet condensed milk over ice. A rich, refreshing, and perfectly balanced blend of bitterness and sweetness.
Ingredients
- 22 g dark roast robusta coffee grounds
- 80 ml hot water (approx. 95 °C)
- 2–3 tbsp condensed milk
- 4–5 ice cubes
Instructions
- Place the phin filter on top of a glass. Add the coffee grounds and level the surface.
- Pour 30 ml of hot water over it and let it bloom for 20–30 seconds.
- Fill with the remaining water, letting it drip through for about 4 minutes.
- Pour the condensed milk into the bottom of the glass before the coffee drips — let the coffee drip directly onto the milk.
- Add ice cubes, stir lightly before drinking.
Tips
Don't stir too early — the layering of milk and coffee is part of the visual experience and makes the drink appealing for social media.
